The latest news is that the keys to the museum building were finally handed over to the Society on the 11th March 2001. Several members have visited the site to assess the work required to renovate and transform it, and Ivor Ramsden has already put in a considerable amount of his time in stripping the building and arranging security. Could other members please show Ivor's enthusiasm and assist him no matter how great or small?

We haven't been able to ascertain yet if the delay in getting the keys, due to waiting for a security fence being erected around the premises, has put back our intended opening date.

Companies and organisations on the island have started to respond to our plea for sponsorship and assistance. Shoprite, Manx Telecom, Magnet, PVC Windows, and the recently closed 'Tool Box' in Port Erin have so far responded.
