October News - We're ready for opening

The latest to report on the museum is that we will be ready for opening on Saturday the 11th November 2000. I believe that there are a just a few bits and pieces to be put into one of the rooms. It has taken us nearly a year since the planning application was submitted and we would like to thank everyone for their help. A Sponsors' Thank You page on this site has yet to be organised.

There are 3 opening times: the official opening at 11:00 for invited guests, 12:30 for sponsors, and 14:00 for members of the public.

Members and guests for the opening ceremony have been asked to arrive at 10:30 for opening at 11:00. This will be performed by Tony Brown MHK, Transport Minister. Chief Minister, Donald Gelling MHK will also be present. Members are allowed to bring relatives and friends.

At 12:30 anyone who has helped us get the museum off the ground, i.e. all the companies, organisations and individuals who have helped us in any way with generous donations etc will be allowed entrance. His Excellency, The Lieutenant Governor, Air Marshall Ian Macfadyen will also be present.

At 14:00 members of the general public will be allowed entrance.

In case of bad weather there will be a tent erected on the site so that we are not all crammed into the museum.
